Simple Snickerdoodles

Christmas is coming, and we all know Christmas season = cookie season! (Which is one reason why Christmas season is the best) 😀 So here’s a cookie recipe perfect for Christmas!

I know I usually post recipes that I’ve found online, but this one is actually from our recipe box. It’s one of those one’s that you’ve had for so long, you have no idea where it first came from. 😛 This is a really easy recipe, and so delicious!

Anyway, here it is!

Whisk together 2  3/4 cups flour, 2 teaspoon cream of tarter, 1 teaspoon baking soda & 1/4 teaspoon salt

In separate bowl, mix together 1 cup softened butter, 1  1/2 cup sugar & 2 eggs

Combine both mixtures together, and mix until well incorporated.

Roll into 1-inch balls and roll in cinnamon sugar (1/2 cup sugar to 2 tablespoons cinnamon) and place on baking sheet with parchment paper (About 20 cookies per sheet)

Bake cookies in oven preheated to 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes (Until edges have slightly firmed up)

After the cookies are done, let them cool on a cooling rack

  • 2 ¾ cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tarter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs

Whisk together flour, cream of tarter, baking soda and salt together.

In separate bowl mix together butter, sugar and eggs.

Mix both mixtures together until well incorporated. Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in cinnamon sugar (1/2 cup sugar to 2 tablespoons cinnamon) and place on baking sheet with parchment paper. (about 20 cookies per sheet)

Bake at 350° F for 8-10 minutes. (Until edges have slightly firmed up)

Cool on cooling rack and enjoy!!

Hope you enjoy this recipe, whether you make them with a good excuse (like taking them to a party) or if you just want to stuff your face with deliciousness like me. 😀

I’m very proud to say that I only have 2 Christmas gifts left to get and wrap! We’ve got our tree up, and the outside of our house has icicle lights, greenery with lights and a red bow on our windows, and there’s a little tree on our front porch that my sister made out of an old palette! Oh, and we have a pretty wreath on our front door. 🙂 Tomorrow is also the local Christmas parade. Not sure if I’m going or not. (By the way, I’m at this very moment listening to Christmas music) 😛

Well, I hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas season!

Oh, before I go, can we just take a moment to notice the amazing fact that I’m writing this only 8 days after my last post?! Wow. We shall see how long it’ll be before I break that record, if ever. 😀

Have a great weekend!
